Error "EPMCSS-00301: Failed To Authenticate User. Invalid credentials"

SYMPTOMS

When attempting to login to EPM Workspace, the following error message is displayed:

EPMCSS-00301: Failed to authenticate user. Invalid credentials.
Enter valid credentials
URI: http://servername:19000/workspace/logon
Code: 1000
Description: An error occurred processing the result from the server.

CAUSE

This issue is caused by a software defect and it has been logged as bug 13365256.

SOLUTION

Workaround:

• Log into Shared Services.
• Select Administration > Configure User Directory
• Select LDAP provider,click on EDIT
• Select Show advanced option
• Go to connection pooling section
• Increase the parameter as follows:

• Max connections:default
• Timeout:default
• Evict Interval:2
• Allowed Idle Connection time:1

• Set idle timeout to 1 and eviction time to 2 minutes.
• Make sure that "Grow Connections" is selected.
• Restart all the services.
