Note:
- Prior to making changes to your environment ensure that you have a done a complete backup of the files involved.
- See how to back up and restore the registry in Windows support article (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756/).
- Remove the OPEN and OPEN1 registry entries from - HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Office -> Excel -> 14.0 -> Options
- Modify the environment variables: ARBORPATH -> C:\Oracle\Middleware\Epmsystem11R1\products\Essbase\EssbaseClient ESSBASEPATH -> C:\Oracle\Middleware\Epmsystem11R1\products\Essbase\EssbaseClient PATH -> (Moved this to the beginning of the path variable) -> C:\Oracle\Middleware\Epmsystem11R1\products\Essbase\EssbaseClient\bin
- Start Excel and add "essexcln.xll" from -> Oracle\Middleware\Epmsystem11R1\products\Essbase\EssbaseClient\bin\essexcln.xll
- Try clicking on Essbase -> Connect to verify that a login window appears.
